Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme hosted by Višja strokovna šola za kozmetiko in velnes (VSŠKV) / Higher Vocational College for Cosmetics and Wellness Ljubljana

• Within the framework of the new Erasmus+ program period (2021-2027) VSŠKV (Slovenia) and its partners offer Blended Intensive Programs (BIP).
• These are short, intensive programs that use innovative ways of learning and teaching, including the use of online cooperation
• By enabling new and more flexible mobility formats that combine physical mobility with a virtual part, blended intensive programs aim at reaching all types of students and/or staff from all backgrounds, study fields and cycles.

International Summer Academy presents the Strategies for Personal and Professional Success programme that addresses skills, competencies and attitudes crucial for the twenty first century.

The programme starts with a 30-hour long introductory level encompassing an overview of a multilayered four-way model of strategies for (1) effective communication and motivation, (2) goal setting, (3) systems thinking and (4) self-management. Further intermediate and advanced levels of the programme expand each of the above sets of strategies offering an in-depth exploration of additional numerous concepts for their further development and sustainability.

The introductory level of the Strategies for Personal and Professional Success programme offered in summer 2025 encompasses:

1. strategies for effective communication and motivation, such as thinking and communicating styles, dealing with filters, active listening and establishing rapport through calibrating;
2. strategies for effective goal setting, such as setting SMART goals, chunking goals up, down and laterally, analysis of goals and identifying potentials and interferences for their achievement;
3. strategies for effective systems thinking such as understanding systems archetypes and features of systems thinking and
4. strategies for effective self-management such as managing states, stress and achieving flow.

Objectives and methodology of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)

The hands-on interactive programme offers opportunities to work on participants' real-life situations. As such, it is relevant for all participants who would like to explore strategies for personal and professional success through gaining knowledge of models and concepts for effective communication and self-management as well as skills for strategic and systems thinking. At the end of the programme, participants will:

• gain clarity about what personal and professional success looks for them
• get familiar with models for effective communication and (self)motivation
• understand how to set goals and follow them through
• define a wider system within which their personal and professional success will take place
• get to know their own internal states and learn how to manage them (self-management)

It includes individual and group project work, plenary discussions, pair work, group work, and development of action plans for the presented issues.

The programme's content is delivered in June/July 2025 through one online meeting for getting to know each other and the programme structure and outcomes (3 hours) plus 5-day in person workshop (each day cca. 5.5 hours) adding up to 30 hours. An in person section of the programme includes short excursions, working in the nature, interviewing leaders of successful projects, individuals who achieved personal and/or professional success and other non-traditional elements contributing to experiential learning.

Credits information:

• Certificate of Attendance: awarded after the summer school to all participants who have completed the one-week programme.
• 3 ECTS - Transcript of Records (with credits and grades): awarded only to participants who complete all course requirements including final assignment.

BIP participants’ profile

Students to take part in the BIP:

• are employees of higher education institutions from EU Member States, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Republic of Türkiye and Republic of Serbia;
• have English language proficiency corresponding to at least level B1.

Staff members to take part in the BIP:

• are employees of higher education institutions from EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme;
• have English language proficiency corresponding to at least level B1.

Application process for BIP participants from partner organisations

• BIP participants must apply at their home institutions for an Erasmus+ BIP related grant (please contact the International Relations Office of your home institutions)
• The candidates can show interest in the BIP and are encouraged to establish contact with VSŠKV Team (info@vskv.si, karmen@vskv.si) for any questions, support or invitation letters, necessary for applying for the grant at the home institution
• Deadline for nominations of BIP participants by their home institutions to VSŠKV: 20 May 2025
